EduServ8 preparation seminar

There will be a two-day seminar at the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium, for preparation of  EduServ8 - the eight module of EuroSDR's education series -  four distance elearning courses in 2010:

• Schema matching, mapping and transformation for INSPIRE
  April 5 – 16, 2010

• The INSPIRE Directive and its Implementing Rules. How to understand and apply them?
  April 26 – May 7, 2010
  Hosted by K.U.Leuven with course leader:
  Danny Vandenbroucke, Dr Joep Crompvoets and Prof. Dr. Jos van Orshoven
  

• Laserscanning for tree extraction
  May 17 – 28, 2010
  Hosted by the Finnish Geodetic Institute with course leader:
  Prof. Dr. Juha Hyypp　 and Harri Kaartinen
  

• Assessment of the quality of Digital Terrain Models
  June 7 – 18, 2010
  Hosted by University of Aalborg with course leader:
  Prof. Dr. Joachim Höhle and Dr Marketa Potuckova (Charles University in Prague)
  

ELearning courses:

Four distance elearning courses are offered to enable staff and students of geographic information understand and transfer the findings of EuroSDR research. The Elearning courses are followed over the Internet, from office or home, over a two-week period. Participants are expected to need approximately thirty online hours in total. Courses will be live on the dates indicated.
